All variables prepped for strategic launch.
Most product briefs are written by one team and handed to another. We deliver something different: The Mise en Place—a strategic product brief that puts everything in its place before formulation begins.
We help you consider all variables of the product vision—marketing, chemistry, operations, sales, packaging, etc.—and cook up a specific plan of execution.
Before expensive lab time is wasted, a single, specific strategy is set for product development and manufacturing: what performance claims, what texture, which raw materials, what packaging considerations, which regulatory & retail, what COG target.
At the core of this strategy is what we do best, and what no one else can offer: Chemical Concepts that place skincare science within the context of your brand’s story.
With Beaker Atelier, you’ll have an intimate understanding of your IP, without the chemistry degree. How? Every chemical choice is translated back into your terms, so that you actually know what you’re manufacturing, why, and how to sell it out in seconds.
Engagements typically run 4-8 weeks. Scoped to your launch.

A morsel of advice.
Have a quick question too nuanced for Google or too specific for Claude? Our expert chemist would be happy to serve up a hot take or a pearl of cost-saving wisdom.
E.g. What are the general trade-offs of using encapsulated Retinol vs a fat-soluble Vitamin A?

This could change the course of launch.
Cozy up to the chef’s counter for a 60-minute strategic session on whatever you're stuck on—the best competitive benchmark for a brief, a raw material decision that needs a second opinion, the optics of a specific INCI.
E.g. We’d really like to leverage this specific Vitamin C technology, but will it work in an aqueous serum?

Let’s cook up something together.
Let's solve a pressing formulation or ingredient education issue, styled as a collaborative, hands-on remote workshop. We'll come prepared to get into the nitty gritty; no full engagement required. NDAs and IP respected.
